Sophie Mayer, MS

Research Fellow

Sophie is a PhD candidate in Epidemiology at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her dissertation research focuses on methodological issues related to cancer screening in pharmacoepidemiology studies, and she also conducts research on cancer care, health services, and cancer health disparities. Prior to coming to UNC, Sophie received an MS in Epidemiology from the University of Washington and served as a Research Assistant at Fred Hutch and the Brookings Institution Center for Health Policy. At NoviSci, Sophie is supporting a variety of pharmacoepidemiology research projects and building her R programming and epidemiologic methods skillsets.

In her free time, Sophie loves to undertake large culinary projects, hike, and ride bikes.
